Red-Tailed Hawk Whirligig kit
(Body 15" L & Wingspan 17"L)
This is a kit.* Assembly is required. Wood eyes and dowel are installed. Wings are installed into their hubs. Painting, varnish and assembly will be completed by the buyer. Assembly instructions are included.
The whirligig's body is cut from 3/4" pine. The wings are cut from finnish birch, I use brass hardware (screws, washers, bearing, propeller and pivot tubes).
When you purchase a whirligig, you WILL NOT receive a whirligig post/stake. You will receive a 5" stainless steel nail and mounting instructions ONLY. If you wish to purchase a ready-made whirligig post, there are several variations of posts for sale in my shop.
*You will not receive a painted whirligig. The painted whirligig images are for reference, to be used to assist in painting or assembling your kit.
